As a little baby, I came into the world
With tiny hands and toes, tightly curled
My eyes were closed, my heart beating fast
A new adventure beginning, with the die cast
I learned to smile and coo, to reach and grasp
And as I grew, my world began to unclasp
I crawled, then walked, each step a thrill
My curiosity unbounded, I had so much to fulfill
I explored and played, with each passing day
My mind and body growing in every way
I laughed and cried, loved and learned
My spirit bright, my future still unturned
Now as I look back, on those early years
I am grateful for the joys and tears
For they shaped me into who I am today
A little baby no more, but still learning every day.
